Sabrina Lloyd is an American retired film and television actress. She is known for her roles in the science fiction series Slider (1995-99), Sports Night (1998-00) and Father Hood (1993).
Profession
Sabrina Lloyd grew up in Mount Dora, Florida. Her mother, July Lloyd, managed a title insurance company in Lake Mary. She began her acting career at the age of 12 playing the role of Pepper in the Mount Dora musical Annie.
When she was in tenth grade, she participated in a student exchange program that allowed her to spend a year in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. There, she was a full-time student at Pine River State High School. She graduated from Lake Mary High School in 1989.
After returning to the United States, Lloyd continued to perform in local theaters such as the Baystreet Players in Eustis and the Ice House Theater in Mount Dora, appearing in Grease (1971), Crimes of the Heart (1978) and “The Witcher” among other works. Oz (1900). She moved to New York at the age of 18 to pursue a successful film career.
Her earliest work there was in modern training films and television commercials, including an ad for Eastpak backpacks. She guest-starred in the Law & Order (1992) episode “Intolerance”. She signed with a new talent agent and began landing more roles in television and movies.
Her first major role in a feature film was in Chain of Desire (1992). In 1993, she appeared in the music video for The Breeders’ song Iris. She also appeared on television, starring in the TV movie Heidi Wright Coming Out, an episode of HBO’s Life Stories: Families in Crisis (1992).
In 1997, the Sci-Fi Channel revived the series, but Lloyd’s contract was not reopened.
