Didem Balcın is a Turkish actress. She is famous for her role as Selcan Hatun in the TV series “Dirilis: Ertugrul” and “Kuruluş: Osman”.

Didem Balcin’s father worked for TRT radio and her mother, Nur Balcin, represented Turkey in a 1975 beauty pageant in Japan.

Her maternal side is of Turkish and Albanian descent. Barsin graduated from Ankara University, where she studied literature, history and geography at the Faculty and received a degree in theater studies.

After graduation, she moved to Istanbul and appeared in various commercials and TV series. She made her stage debut in the play Atesin Dustugu Yer at Levent Kirca Theatre.

In 2009, Balcin founded his own theater company with Nergis Ozturk. She won the Lion Award for Best Actress in a Comedy for her role in the comedy film “Bunu Yapan Iki Kisi”.

In 2011, she and her sister founded the educational consulting company “Doda Sanat”. She is known for her role as Selcan Hatun in the TV series Dirilis: Ertugrul and Kurulus: Osman.
