Laura Catlinger is an outstanding American actress, comedian, and writer. She is a consulting producer and co-wrote “Will & Grace” (TV, 1998) and also occasionally stars in the TV series “Nurse Sheila.” She also created the sitcom television series 2 Broke Girls (2011).
Laura Kightlinger also stars in the comedy television show Jackie Woodman’s Little Accomplishments (2006), which she created, wrote and executive produced. She was a contestant on Saturday Night Live (SNL) from 1994 to 1995, and also appeared as a groupie in an episode of Tenacious D (1997) called “Angels in Disguise”.
When asked how much of the series is based on her personal experiences, she said: “I’d say around 85%, and the other 15% are women’s experiences. We usually collect a lot of stories about what’s going on with us and our friends. story, so I would say a lot of it is like that. I always feel like rejection is what keeps me going.”
Catlinger has had three stand-up specials aired on basic channels including HBO and Comedy Central. She played Gwenn in the 1997 comedy film Who’s the Caboose?. Starring Sarah Silverman and Sam Seid.
In the 2000s, she made a short film called “Reliable Man.” The film won the 2002 Black Maria Film Festival Director Award and the International Film and Technology Festival Best New Director Award.
In 2003, she directed her first documentary, Sixty Turns the Sun, which followed the New York City street movement to repeal Rockefeller’s drug laws. The show follows political satirist and activist Randy Credico and his fight to repeal the law. Her other film credits include “Daddy’s Day Care” (2003), “Kicking and Screaming” (2005) and “Wake Up, Ron Burgundy: The Lost Movie” (2004).
In 2017, she made a cameo appearance in The Lego Batman Movie, voicing the characters of killer whale and journalist Pippa, and published the book A Quick Shot of False Hope in 1999.
