Mitzi Kapture is an American actress from Yorba Linda, California. She is best known for playing Sgt. Rita Lee Lance starred in the crime drama Silk Stalkings from 1991 to 1995. She began her film career growing up in Atlanta, Georgia.

Prior to working in television, she appeared in films including “Pursuit” (1988), “Angel III: The Final Chapter” (1988), “Free and Easy” (1989) and “Nomadland” (1992). She is best recognized for her role as Sergeant Rita Lee Lance in the television series Silk Stalkings.

The show premiered on CBS and USA Network, but later aired exclusively on USA Network. The show ran for eight seasons and became the most-watched original series on a U.S. network. She played Rita, the other half of Two Sams, alongside Rob Estes for nearly five years.

Kaptur was recognized along with her co-stars. Her character, Sergeant Lance, eventually became Lieutenant Lance. But Kaptur left the show in 1995 after giving birth to her first daughter. While filming the show, she also directed episodes.

Mitzi Kapture returned to television in 1997. She starred in two films produced for USA Network, including “The Perfect Crime” (based on a true story) and “His Bodyguard.” She returned to action dramas, playing the title role of Alexis Ryker in Baywatch.

From 2002 to 2005, she appeared on the CBS daytime soap opera The Young and the Restless under the title Mitzi Kapture Donahue (née Donahue). Kapture also starred in the Lifetime made-for-TV movie Fright Night (2007).

Mitzi Kapture played a therapist specializing in autism in her most recent film, God’s Ears (2008), and guest-starred in an episode of the sitcom Laws of Engagement.
