Neelima Azeem is an Indian actress, writer and classical dancer. She is the mother of most popular actors Shahid Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter. She is also known for her roles in television series.

Her father, Anwar Azim, was a well-known Marxist journalist and Urdu writer in Bihar, and her mother, Khadija, was a relative of Khwaja Ahmed Abbas. She studied Kathak and classical dance forms and trained under Birju Maharaj and Munna Shukla.

Neelima Azeem has acted in Hindi films and TV series. She has also filmed several historical dramas and films. She is mainly known for her role in Phir Wahi Talash.

Among other acting credits, she is known for “Amrapali”, “The Sword of Tipu Sultan” and “Junoon”. Azeem has gained a lot of popularity during her career due to her performances.
