However, Albert and Richard Amini didn't do a great job getting into business on Shark Tank. As a result, doctors couldn't come to an agreement. Rolodoc has a value of $0 and the company closes after the show.
About the founder
Registered doctors Albert and Richard Amini are brothers from Granada, Spain. They are currently located in Arizona, USA. As children, they lived in different states, including California, Florida and Illinois.
Albert received his bachelor's degree from the University of Chicago and his medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. After completing his residency and mastering his specialty, he founded Arizona's premier surgery.
Richard attended Loyola University's Stritch Medicine for his undergraduate and medical education. When he became a professional, Richard was employed as a professor and assistant dean at the University of Arizona.
Create rolodoc
The Amini brothers were inspired to change the traditional way medical professionals communicate with patients. They wanted to change the way doctors sent emergency messages through printers.
Additionally, doctors want to give patients a way to choose a doctor and securely share their medical information. The brothers created Rolodoc, essentially the LinkedIn of the medical world.
However, there isn't much information about the business before appearing on reality TV, as it's an early-stage startup. These types of companies are not accepted on Shark Tank these days.
Shark tank appearance
In 2013, Albert and Richard Amini planned to get serious with Rolodoc, which eventually became a success. They appeared on Season 5 of Shark Tank, seeking $50,000 in equity.
The course started well with a relaxed nature, but things turned sour quickly. Mark Cuban was especially frustrated because the founders were just using buzzwords and seemed to have no business plan. Repeat the phrase “social media,” which annoys the shark.
The brothers have no solid claims. Cuban came up to shake hands and told them it was the “worst pitch ever” on Shark Tank. The execution of the business idea was poor, but it was very rude of Cuba. Kevin O'Leary is strangely calm about the situation. All the sharks quickly exited.

It's safe to say that the founders shut down Rolodoc shortly after Shark Tank. These guys had very little preparation and no clear direction for the business. Nor did they explain how to replace pagers.
Even if Albert and Richard provide a better introduction to more substance, the amount of regulations surrounding privacy and security will be too challenging to overcome. Not surprisingly, the founders returned to their day jobs.
Richard continues to serve as a professor at the UA School of Medicine, specializing in emergency medicine. Albert, on the other hand, is working as a clinical instructor at the Medical College of Wisconsin Froedtert Hospital.
