Callan McAuliffe is an Australian actor, known for his roles as Bryce Loski in Flip (2010) and Sarah in I Am Four (2011). Known for Sam Goode. He played young Jay Gatsby in Baz Luhrmann’s 2013 film The Great Gatsby. He played Alden on The Walking Dead (TV series, 2017-2022).

Callan McAuliffe is a citizen of the Sydney suburb of Clontarf and the author and journalist Roger McAuliffe. He studied at Bellevue Hill Scots College, a boys’ school, and topped his Trinity Musical Theater examinations in London. In 2008, he achieved excellent results.
McAuliffe began his acting career at the age of 8. He played Callum McAuliffe in the Australian TV series Comedy Inc (2007) and Ben in Blue Water High (2008). He then had a recurring role in Packed to the Rafters (2009). Also in 2009, he starred in the Australian independent coming-of-age short Franswa Sharl and had a role in Resistance.
He made his U.S. debut in Flipped and auditioned for the film while on vacation in the U.S., ultimately winning the lead role of Bryce. The film is adapted from Wendelin van Dranen’s 2001 novel of the same name.
