Born into a family of entertainers on September 8, 1971, David Arquette is the youngest brother of actors Rosanna Arquette, Patricia Arquette and Alexis Arquette, and the son of veteran minor-profile actor Lewis Arquette. During David’s early years, the family lived on a commune in California, but moved to Los Angeles when Rosanna pursued a career in acting. David first brought his quirky, eccentric personality to the small screen in 1989 with the television adaptation of the film The Outsiders. He made his big screen debut in 1992 when he starred in several films including Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Where the Day Takes You. This was followed by small roles in subsequent features including 1994’s Airheads. That same year, he rose to fame with a supporting role in Beautiful Girls and a role as a struggling prostitute in Johns.
In 1997 came the hugely successful sequel to Scream, the aptly titled Scream 2. Also, came Dream with Fishes, a film in which Arquette both starred and co-produced. 1999 was a busy year for the actor, indicating that Hollywood was finding more room to accommodate his unique talents. In addition to his recurring role in several creepy AT&T commercials, Arquette had leading roles in three films, Drew Barrymore’s romantic comedy Never Been Kissed, Muppets from Space, and Antonia Bird’s much-maligned Ravenous. Arquette further boosted his fame in Hollywood by marrying Courteney Cox, whom he married in April 1999.
David Arquette and his wife of eleven years, Scream co-star Courteney Cox, separated in late 2010 and divorced in 2013. Two years later, he married Entertainment Tonight correspondent Christina McLarty on April 12, 2015.
