Eva Marcille is a popular American actress, fashion model, entrepreneur and television personality. She started her career by participating in the third edition of America’s Next Top Model. Her middle name, Marcille, is a blend of her grandmother’s first names, Marjorie and Lucille. Her mother is African American and her father is Puerto Rican.
Eva Marcille attended Raymond Avenue Elementary School, Marina Del Rey Middle School and Washington Preparatory High School in 2002. She also attended Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, Georgia. However, in 2004, at the age of 19, she left school shortly after competing on the third season of America’s Next Top Model.
Her prizes include a CoverGirl cosmetics contract, an ad in Elle magazine and a modeling contract with Ford Models. After leaving them and accepting new management, she officially dropped “Pigford” from her name and now goes by Eva Marcille. She said she did it not to capitalize on her modeling fame but to win acting roles. She is currently signed to a Los Angeles modeling agency and has a starring role on The CW’s America’s Next Top Model: Exposed. Marcille was also named one of CoverGirl’s top models.
