Minissha Lamba is a famous Indian film actress who predominantly appears in Hindi films. She made her debut with the film Yahaan. Her other famous films include Bachna Ae Haseeno, Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd., Bheja Fry 2, and Well Done Abba.
Minissha Lamba was born on 18 January 1985 in New Delhi, India. She was born into a Hindu family to parents Manju Lamba and Kawel Lamba, both born in New Delhi. He also has a brother named Karanbir Lamba. Minissha attended Chettinad Vidyashram School in Chennai and later completed her education at the Army Public School in Srinagar. She completed her BA (Hons) in English from Miranda College, University of Delhi.
While studying at Delhi University, Minissha Lamba started modeling for commercials for Sony, LG, Hajmola, Cadbury, Sunsilk, Airtel, etc. She was also featured in Femina’s “Generation W” commercial. During her time shooting for Cadbury’s commercial, she was approached by Shoojit Sircar and offered to star in his film Yahaan. Minissha then started playing supporting roles and later lead roles in films like Rocky: The Rebel, Corporate, Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd., Anthony Kaun Hai, Shaurya, Dus Kahaniyaan, and Anamika.
In 2008, she starred in the film Bachna Ae Haseeno, which is one of her most successful films to date. In the same year, she became famous for her role in Sanjay Gadhvi’s film Kidnap. Her next lead role was in the commercially and critically acclaimed film Well Done Abba, which also won the National Film Award for Best Socially Concerned Film in 2009, and Minissha’s role as Muskaan Ali was also well received. In 2014, she participated in the television reality show Bigg Boss Season 8, which was aired on Colors TV. One of her recent performances was in the film Double Di Trouble, which she co-starred with Gippy Grewal, Dharmendra, Kulraj Randhawa, Gurpreet Ghuggi and Poonam Dhillon. She also starred in the music video of Himesh Reshammiya’s song Tera Surroor, which became very famous.
On July 6, 2015, Minissha Lamba tied the knot with her old friend Ryan Tham, Pooja Bedi’s cousin and the owner of a Juhu nightclub.
