Neha Dhupia is a famous Indian film actress and beauty pageant winner who has appeared in Punjabi, Hindi, Malayalam and Telugu films. She won the Femina Miss India 2002 pageant. She made her Bollywood debut with the film Qayamat – The Threatened City.
Neha Dhupia was born on 27 August 1980 in Cochin, India. She belongs to a Sikh family. Her father, Pradip Singh Dhupia, worked in the Indian Army and her mother, Manpinder, was a housewife. Neha attended the Naval Boys School in Cochin and later transferred to the Army Public School, New Delhi. She graduated from Jesus and Mary College, New Delhi, a joint venture with the University of Delhi.
Neha Dhupia made her debut with a play called Graffiti. After that, she starred in a music video of the band Euphoria Indipop and also modeled for several advertising campaigns. After that, she starred in a television serial called Rajdhani.
Neha Dhupia made her debut as a child actress in the 1994 Malayalam film Minnaram, starring Mohanlal. In 2003, she made her Bollywood debut in the film Qayamat: City under Threat, which was a hit at the Indian box office. Neha rose to fame with the role of Julie and later played a double role in the film Sheesha, which did not do well at the Indian box office. She then acted in films like Shootout at Lokhandwala and Kyaa Kool Hai Hum, which were hits at the Indian box office, and also acted in the anthology film Dus Kahaniyaan.
In the same year, Neha Dhupia played supporting roles in many films like Ek Chalis Ki Last Local, Chup Chup Ke, Maharathi, Mithya, Dasvidaniya and Singh Is Kinng. In 2011, she played the role of Eva Braun in the film Dear Friend Hitler, a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. Neha tied the knot with famous actor Angad Bedi in a wedding ceremony at the Gurdwara on May 10, 2018. In 2018, she was blessed with a son, Mehr Dhupia Bedi.
