Phil Heath was born on December 18, 1979 in Seattle, Washington.
Heath was passionate about basketball at a young age and earned a scholarship to the University of Denver with his outstanding basketball skills.
While on scholarship, he studied information technology and business administration and played shooting guard for a Division I college team.
Profession
Before competing against Arnold Schwarzenegger for the Mr. Olympia title, Phil Heath attended Rainier Beach High School in Seattle, Washington.
Heath played shooting guard on the varsity basketball team and helped the team win the 1998 state championship.
Due to his basketball career, Phil Heath was admitted to the University of Denver on an athletic scholarship.
