Priyanka Kothari, popularly known as Amoha or Nisha Kothari, is an emerging model and actress in the Bollywood film industry. She has starred in Bollywood, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films. She is often seen in Ram Gopal Varma’s films and is considered a sex symbol.
Priyanka Kothari was born on November 30, 1980 in Varanasi, India. In 10th grade, she went to New Delhi to get a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Dyal Singh College, Delhi University. Priyanka Kothari chose chemistry as her father was in the chemical industry and her mother was a housewife. Priyanka studied Kathak for nearly 6 years and enrolled in acting classes with Kishore Namit Kapoor.

After completing her studies, she became a model and acted in many advertising campaigns. She acted in the remix of the old song “Chadti Jawani Meri Chaal Mastani”. In 2003, Priyanka Kothari got her big break with actor Madhavan, who suggested her to audition for his film after seeing her pictures. Priyanka made her acting debut with the Tamil film “Jay Jay”, known as Amiga.
She made her Bollywood debut with the film Sarkar and in the same year starred in James, which was created by Rohit Jugraj and Ram Gopal Varma respectively. The film James turned Priyanka into a sex symbol. Later, she acted in the film Killer with Emraan Hashmi. After that, she acted in some less important films and roles. She often appeared in Ram Gopal Varma’s films like Darna Zaroori Hai, Shiva and Aagg, in which she played the roles of Ghungroo, Agyaat and Darling, and also acted in his works like Go & Stalker. Many of these films were not successful. Priyanka Kothari made her Kannada debut in the film Raaj the Showman in 2009 with Puneeth Rajkumar, and later played a supporting role in the film Dandupalya. She starred in the Telugu films Balakrishna and Okka Magadu, and also acted in a film called Hari Om.
In 2011, her only release was the film Bin Bulaye Baraati. In 2013, Priyanka Kothari starred in a Malaysian Tamil film Ops Kossa Dappa 3. She will be seen in the Tamil film Padam Pesum and has signed a Telugu thriller film Criminals.
