When a fire breaks out, people sometimes use fire hydrants to save the situation. Now, you can use your pool as a water source with Bianca Wittenberg’s FireFighter1 Pool Fire Hose. Bianca pitched her business on Shark Tank and has a deal with Mark Cuban and Lori Greiner. In 2024, FireFighter1 is estimated to be worth $600,000.
Bianca Wittenberg’s Background
Bianca Wittenberg is a resident of El Dorado Hills, Calif. Wittenberg holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from North Atlantic University and a master’s degree in business administration from Sacramento State College.
Initially, she owned a landscaping company called All Play Lawns. Later, she worked as a broker assistant at Lyon Real Estate and Morris Williams Realty. IBMC also hired her as an operations manager.
In 2016, she worked as an air traffic control specialist for the U.S. Department of Defense for 11 months. After returning home, Bianca founded Own It Real Estate.
Founded FireFighter1
With wildfires on the rise in California, Bianca asked what would happen if people started using pool water to put out fires. The average pool holds about 25,000 gallons of water, enough to put out a fire.
Bianca invented the FireFighter1 hose, which connects directly to the pool via a PVC diverter and can spray over a gallon of water per second. The company, which launched in 2015, has been growing steadily, but Bianca was unable to devote 100% of her time to the business.
Appeared on Shark Tank
Even though the company was nine years old, it had yet to reach its full potential. That’s why Bianca Wittenberg applied to Shark Tank and was selected from thousands of applicants.
Several firefighter products have appeared on Shark Tank, such as Hyconn, in which Cuban invested, but few have become huge successes. Mark and Lori agreed to invest $150,000 for 25% equity.
After Shark Tank
After the episode aired, FireFighter1 received a significant increase in inquiries for pool suppliers. As of February 2023, they had sold a total of 350 units. There is no evidence that the deal with Mark and Lori was completed.
Interested buyers can purchase the hose in 50- and 100-foot lengths at FightFireFirst.com and on Amazon. The 100-foot FireFighter1 hose retails for $459, with installation costing an additional $240. They also sell accessory products to help increase revenue.
There are similar products on the market, but they use separate engines and cost thousands of dollars. In an interview with villagelife.com, Bianca revealed that she was very nervous before the speech, but the microphone problem gave her time to relax.
Unfortunately, this company doesn’t receive many customer reviews and only has one five-star review on Amazon. This product isn’t something you’ll use often, but investing in one could potentially save your life. Currently, the FireFighter1 is worth an estimated $600,000.
