In an age where AI is king, almost every task is succumbing to automation! Bot-It is an online tool that allows you to build bots for daily reminders and bookings. Founders Joel Griffith and Maurice Bachelor pitched their software on Shark Tank and landed a deal with Mark Cuban and Michael Rubin. Currently, Bot-It is worth an estimated $1 million.
Founder
Joel Griffith and Maurice Bachelor are proud black entrepreneurs who have made their mark in the tech industry. They’ve been in the industry for a while, and that was evident when they entered Tank.
Griffith has worked with tech giants like Snapchat, TikTok, LinkedIn and Amazon. Batchelor founded surgical care company Clear Anesthesia while CEO of Batchelor Investment Group. In 2013, he founded a startup called SnapBatch, which he later sold.
As Morris was rising in the corporate world, he was involved in a car accident that nearly ended his career. While in the hospital, Morris worked with Joel to develop a program now known as Bot-It.
Building Bot-It
The Bot-It app was released in early 2019 and comes with a host of automation tools. Many of the tools are available for online tasks, such as booking golf, tennis, and pickleball courts. There are also bots for restaurant and camping reservations.
Additionally, customers can create their own bots to perform specific online tasks, such as setting reminders, adding payment details, entering passwords, processing screenshots, and purchasing items. Depending on your subscription, you can create up to 10 bots.
Maurice took care of the technical side, while Joel handled the digital marketing efforts. They made a great team and were accepted to Shark Tank because AI is a booming industry. The two billionaires competed for the deal and eventually joined forces.
After Shark Tank
Prior to joining the show, Joel and Maurice worked with a leading shipping logistics company in Turkey. By the end of 2023, they expect to have over 1,500 paying subscribers. With the exposure from Shark Tank, they should easily surpass that milestone.
The deal with Cuban and Rubin should be done within the next six months. Even if it doesn’t happen, they shouldn’t have any problem raising money from other investors.

Although Bot-It only had around $30k in revenue, Joel and Maurice believed it had the potential to be a big business. Unlike most companies on Shark Tank, Bot-It was able to scale at a faster pace, but did operate in a highly competitive industry. Joel Griffith has been involved longer and currently works as a Senior Key Account Manager at LinkedIn.
