Kangana Ranaut was born on 23 March 1987 in Bampur town in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh. She comes from a Rajput family. After training as a theatre director, Kangana Ranaut made her debut in 2006 with the film Gangster, for which she won the Filmfare Award for Best Actress.
