Sanoe Lake is a famous American actress, model and surfer. She grew up on the Hawaiian island of Kauai and is of Hawaiian, Japanese and British descent. Her name “Sae” means “Mist of the Mountain”.
She was a known tomboy and thrill-seeker growing up, earning herself the nickname “Sae Boy.” During her teenage years, she suffered from competition. At the age of thirteen, she moved from Kauai to Oahu to attend high school. When she was fifteen and returning from surfing, she was discovered by a manager at a beach on Oahu’s North Shore.

She became one of the actors in the films “It’s a Cruel World” (2005) and “Rain Rolls” (2007).
Sanoe Lake starred as Gina in the 2008 film “Into Darkness” alongside Devon Sawa, and played the title role of Pamela in the 2008 film “Half-Life” (Pamela). The film premiered to critical acclaim at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival and won the 2008 Gen Art Acura Grand Jury Prize.
It also won the Best Feature Film Award at the Asian American International Film Festival and the Best Narrative Feature Award at the San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival. and the Visionary Award from the Calgary International Fairy Tale Show. The film was also nominated for the Tokyo Grand Prix at the Tokyo International Film Festival.
